Heroes needed for animals

Our shelter is concerned. The city is expecting a $77 million budget deficit, while costs to care for the animals continue to rise. In particular, the costs for emergency and specialty veterinary care for the animals most in need is the greatest expense we’re trying to keep pace with. Donors have been absolutely vital in allowing us to give even the greatest underdogs the chance at a new life, and now, we need you more than ever.
Medical care is just one area you’ll be supporting today. You’ll also be supporting foster and volunteer programs that are critical to getting animals adopted, as well as community programs such as our free pet food bank for hungry pets, our free vaccine and microchip community clinics, our Homeless Outreach and Assistance Program (HOAP), surgeries to get community cats fixed to reduce the endless cycle of kittens, and so much more.
You’re not just making a donation – you’re making a real change in our community and forever changing an animal’s future for the better.
Thanks so much for your support today – it is YOU who makes it all possible.
